Prayers including the collect and a prayer for nation during this Coronavirus pandemic:
Merciful God, whose holy apostle, St James, leaving his father and all that he had, was obedient to the calling of your Son, Jesus Christ and followed him, even to death: help us, forsaking the false attractions of the world, to be ready at all times to answer your call without delay; through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen

Loving God, as your Son healed the sick and brought good news to the needy be with us this day. Loving Jesus as you taught us to ‘do unto others as you would have them do to you’ be with all the medical staff this day. Loving spirit, your gift is healing, bring your healing fire to our homes, our hospitals and our county, but most of all, be with us this day. Amen
